I probably wouldn't pay 350k for it. But I would buy it, make it a lawn ornament. Who needs gnomes when you can have a DBS?

It was also involved in a world record for most barrel rolls of a vehicle in mid air. The producers are proud that the gouge in the pavement is still there.

So stupid, it wasn't even used on the set, but crashed before the guy could even get there. Would of been different if it was crashed in actual filming and used as a scene.

I bet if George Lucas had peed next to that same car it would have sold for more than a mill.:nut:

1) You have to remember that they more than likely got the car from the manufacture for free.
2) So the sale of the car was totally profit.
3) Also movie productions are insured out the butt. So the crash would have been covered.

You CAN call the guy an idiot regardless of him having $350k

If the car was wrecked ON PURPOSE for the film, during the scene, it would be worth something.

This douche bought a written off car driven by some AM tech, not Daniel Craig, NOT a stuntman related to the film...just some myron delivering the car to set.

Not stupid. Effing retarded. There is no added value to this car. He can't say it was the car in james bond, the car wrecked in the movie the car blah blah.

He CAN say I bought a wrecked DBS for $120K over list because I am stupid.

During production of the movie Casino Royale, the DBS was still on the Aston drawing board. Aston therefore had to hand-build a "hero" car for static scenes. For one of the film's stunt sequences they donated three DB9 road test prototypes made up with custom bodies to look like DBSs; all three cars were eventually wrecked.

During filming, stunt co-coordinator Gary Powell discovered the cosmetically modified DB9's centre of gravity was too low to make the car roll during a ramp jump. The crew increased the ramp height to 4 times the original, but it still refused to roll. In the end, an air cannon installed behind the driver’s seat drove a cylinder into the road, forcing the car to roll 7 1/2 times, breaking the world record.

The DBS returned in Quantum of Solace, with James Bond doing a chase scene in Italy. During filming, the stunt driver delivering the car for the scenes lost control of the car in April 2008 in a severe storm, and drove the only car then reportedly available for filming into Lake Garda.

Wow, so this douche bought a car that some no name drove into a lake on his way to something important.
