how'd you fry the power connector?? and how long have u had the PS for?

So the story of the fried floppy connector goes something like this...

I bought a new case, so took everything outta the old one. Went to put everything into the new case and turned on the computer. Everything seemed to come on, but I smelled something burning, so I turned it off. I've got one of the old kind of floppy drives, all it has are the 4 power pins that stick out. There's no white plastic bottom part where the power connector normally 'clicks' into place. Add to that the pins are kinda loose after reusing it in many upgrades. So turns out I stuck the power connector in for 3 of the 4 pins and now that floppy connector is fried. I just used the other floppy power connector, the psu seemed fine to me.

I think I bought it back in 2006, had it since then.
