That is nuts, but what happens if something happens to the system and they get stuck.

Cool, but the house seems a bit small for the amount of lambos they have.

i have a few different worries, like:

- parking brake fails when car is in the air
- drive into the lower level and the thing falls down and will not open

those would be scary

well yah, you would have 2 cars stuck partially above ground, 2 cars stuck partially below ground and a car stuck in the garage. i assume he has some kind of complicated setup and probably some kind of access below though

cool "garage" if you could even call it that. I'm sure that if he had the money to build something like this, he'd make sure to build himself some sort of underground access. I'm sure its not just a hole/deathtrap waiting for the mechanism to fail and entrap him...

lol biggest fear is if the reinforcement and hinges failed after a few years and one day the top part collapsed on the bottom

No, no way that is too dope, should have spent a bit more on the house maybe

Damn that's nice, by the sound of it his using hydraulics with probably locking pins for different stages, pretty safe. One thing that bothers me is, if it rains water is going to get in unless it has great seals in place :dunno:

The sides probably have a drain so all the water can go in and not get on the cars. That's the only smart thing to do :dunno:

Holy pessimistic posts!!

The guy has cake! He obviously didn't scratch the rest of his spare change from the couch cushions just to have a lift for shit he can barely afford.

Although the barely afford thing could very well be true, I am sure he would need a building permit to do any of this type of work to his home.

Some of you guys make it sound like he glued Lego together in a hole in his driveway. I think it is fair to say that anyone who has the money for those cars (a few or a couple could be his friends too. Using Lambo's for "the ultimate video" of his neat-o lift set up) would be doing things properly.

Cool shit regardless. Not a bad idea for places like Calgary where you can shake your neighbors hand thru windows in your own homes. It would never fly though.

First, they are probably not all his.

Second, unless you know what city that is how can you possibly say that.

Iv seen a couple in calgary like that, not outside but covered. The lift lets them drive the car into a basement. Maybe this guy has a similar set up?

House in Eagle Ridge has a drive in underground parkade.

The cars are much more impressive than the elevator lift.

The house by the entrance? I would not call that a lift, More like half a lift to get a car out of the way.
Would be a total PITA to try and do a trans or something on one of those.

And they are not expensive.

I can't say that I've ever seen a tower lift installed quite like that before.

I've seen them on the inside of the garage in one bay to lift down into a lower garage or lift up into a 2nd floor gallery. All of them are one car wide that go up or down one level. There are a number of them here in town, but none are double wide like this. In fact, they are custom manufactured to order here in town.

It is pretty cool to see someone try something as complicated as this even though the added security of hiding the garage's inventory is completely shot. Anyone on the street can see what's in there.
