I'm having a hard time deciding on which vehicle I should consider purchasing, I'm not a baller so these choices are based on a mix of style/economy not luxury. I do however need a car that looks good and is somewhat reliable. I realize the choices are someone off-the-wall, but it's my top three nonetheless.

So, which one would you choose?

Note: This is a repost, I've already determined #1, now it's on to #2. But I have already decided on the choice but I want the internet to back up my decision so if anyone question my judgment, I'll just point to this thread. I'll keep posting and changing poll option until a consensus is reached.

No love for M3 Sedan obviously, but I'd take a C63 over a IS-F easily, and I'm a toyota fanboy.

I thought you made a thread like this already and we said IS-F???:dunno:

You took out the one car everyone voted for. Just buy the Pinto already!

The only way you can beat a Pinto is with Corinthian leather. Neither the IS-F or C63 have that, so the Pinto it is.

The Pinto has everything you are looking for "style/economy not luxury".

haha

The wife wants the IS-F, I want the C63. So we decided on this: NOTHING.

Anyway, not much economy on the C63 right. It's a combined 15mpg!

IS-F is around 20mpg combined.

Hyatt > Lone Star

Whatcha gonna do fool?

How about forget about both and get a 911TT? Used but whatever.

I'm stuck with the same decision. So far for me, it's 60% IS-F, 39% C63, and 1% M3.

Not baller? those are pretty expensive cars guy, especially if you can actually afford one unlike most of Calgary who buy's these cars and goes into major debt.

C63 imo... but that thing gets good mileage compared to my vehicles .

I guess this thread:

http://forums.beyond.ca/st/236972/if-you-could-take-home-one-/

is not popular enough to parody off of. :D

Why 1%? Because of the free maintenance? lol

I thought this was now posted a THIRD time. Geesh.

I would quite obviously go for the pinto.

IS-F.
I drove one.. FUCKING SWEET CAR..
Love the interior, and sounds kick ass.

Need to drive the C63 before I can comment on that though.

ISF

I like the Engine out of the Mercedes more but the Lexus has the better service department, better fit and finish, better materials. Plus I think it looks better then the Mercedes.

Are you trying to compare a C63 to a Sebring and a Pinto to a Cirrus?

I've decided against the cirrus, sebring and the grand prix. I'ma get me a Pinto now.

Your heads.

As for me, I'd take the Pinto. Every time you see someone behind you, you'll see your life flash before your eyes. It's a very exhilarating ride :D

Since the Pinto is winning with close to 49% of the votes, why don't you make another thread with a showdown between the IS-F and C63?

I'm just waiting for someone to make a parody in the frustrated thread.

I voted IS-F
i LOVE the sound.

i love the IS-F
its a gorgeous car, Lexus has great service, and its good on gas (relatively) and is reliable. Plus i think they sound better than the C63 and even gives the M3 a slight run for its money. It will have strong resale too.
its the sports sedan car i'd buy if i could afford it

C63 sounds way better. It sounds frigging badass. you basically have to be driving at 4000rpm to hear the grumble from the ISF

If you care a lot about service then Lexus.
If you care about performance then go C63. The aftermarket support on the c63 destroys the ISF support. Not to mention it's a lot cheaper to get power out of the c63.

plain and simple.

You will cream yourself up and down this bitch when you drive the C63 (62?) if you thought the IS-F was crazy. I love the styling of the IS250/350, but they fucked it up with the IS-F. The muffler tips are a part of the bumper, not part of the exhaust system (reminiscent of the Toyota TRD Celica/Matrix attempts). I'm a fan of lexus... but this is like, babys first sport sedan attempt.

Points for effort, as I'm a huge fan of 4-door wrecking balls... but poorly executed.

BTW something to take into account... The ISF is not good on gas, even from a relative perspective, from what I've heard/seen you're looking at about 300-330km/60L tank on average driving on premium fuel, which would be about 70-80 bux. Bag the shit out of it and you'll be in the sub 300kms/tank.

My 4runner does 500km on a 60L tank and it only takes regular...

Don't get me wrong the ISF is a great car, but it's expensive. I also read that the pads and rotors go at approx 20,000km, which is a 400USD/rotor and 400 for a set of front pads plus labor.

Buy the pinto, drop in a stroked out 351w or big block or something bad-ass, save a lot of $$$ and be able to do your own warranty work.

Pinto FTW

how this guy is still around is surprising to me.

Anyways.... i know its not on your poll but im surprised no one has noted the RS4 yet. I mean are they like horrible on the reliabilty side. I know audi's can be kinda bad for that but i thought it was only the older ones and especially not an RS4?

i think this thread went over most peoples heads. It's trying to parody the thread about the guy trying to chose between 3 domestics (sebring, grand prix and i forget the other one) and a mazda 6. But honestly, that thread was stupid, but i've seen worse. Poor choice of a thread to parody:thumbsdow

The Pinto all the way. RWD, engine with a racing pedigree (Formula Ford), and the coolest sounding thing in the world at 3 AM at -40 c in a residential area doing doughnuts down the road with no muffler. It just doesn't get any better! (Can you guess that my first car was a Pinto? God I miss that thing sometimes!)
