Newbie here. Found this site on a search.
I have a 01 corolla it has a AS4504sh Autostart.
Well it will lock the doors and it will start the car.
But it will not unlock the doors.
The car has sat for 13 months with a dead battery.
I have tried many times to enter program mode to have my remote added but to no avail.
I have the install guide and quick reference.
tried this
1. Make sure that the Alarm Valet Mode is
disabled.
2. Turn the Ignition switch to ON.
3. Open the Hood.
4. Turn the Valet switch ON, OFF, ON.
5. The Parking lights will come ON. You have up
to 5 seconds to press Lock button on the
transmitter to be added to the unit, if the
operation is successful, the alarm/starter unit
will flash the Parking lights 5 times quickly.

NOTE: That the Alarm Valet Mode is enabled at
the end of this procedure. You should disable it to

The parking lights never come on.
Anybody have any ideas??
TIA

Check the connection from the Autostart to the light wire in the car. Check the fuse on the light wire (yellow) from the Autostart.
You will not have to re-propgram the remote as it is operating.
What kind of car do you have? It may require a double unlock pulse, which can be programmed if necessary, but you will have to get the lights workiing first.
