I picked up a sunbeam electric garment steamer for $30 from wal-mart.
Start at the top corner, and take your time, heavily steaming the crease where you're pulling the film off of the window, as well as the film below the crease - this helps the tint and glue come off together.
I spent 40 minutes and got two rear door windows, and rear window off, and didn't leave any residue on the windows - it all came off in 1 sheet. Also, with this method of removal my defroster lines were safe, as a razor wasn't used throughout the whole process.
