does this have anything to do with a faster route from highway 1 to glenmore? are you cutting through C.O.P or something? (i wish i could avoid sarcee altogether)

i think it's a shortcut to get from the neighborhood south of COP to transcanada, without taking the long way around on sarcee or old banff trail

Yah I live right behind COP and I find it's only faster if you're going to Bowness or the ski shop/mcdonalds right at the intersection. Heading west it's faster to take old banff/springbank then meet up with the 1. East, now that bowtrail is widened it's pretty much a wash for anything east of sarcee.

When they manned the gate I used to bribe the kid a loonie, but now they just lock the door. They can't do it too often because of all the events (minigolf, brunch, christmas parties, etc)

Everyone who punches my address in a Garmin gets told to take the damn road though - fskin useless things.

Not sure why they city hasn't started that portion of the ring road - we're not waiting on anything that I know off, unlike the Glenmore&37th->weaselhead part.

i drove through it from april to the end of june never once got stopped by anyone. never saw anyone at the gate either.
