Inspection

I bought a '87 corolla and I was going to insure it yesterday but they said I needed inspection papers because it was such an old car. I was wondering where i could get this done preferably somewhere in the NE.

Any licensed mechanic "could" do the inspection. But I've found that it's preferable to have someone you know do it. They are usually a little more understanding of minor defects.

I once had a car fail an inspection due to "streaking windshield wipers." Brutal.

That being said, no decent mechanic will sign for a car that is truly unsafe, and no decent driver should ever ask for that.
