$2000 for 80 hp isn't bad.

the c63 has a lot of potential concidering it's detuned at the factory limiting the throttle to 85%. What is the 7 speed transmission rated to?

WTF do i end up buying cars that are always expensive to mod...

what a great deal. I would like to see how this would effect 1/4 mile time. Not saying its really a 1/4 mile car tho just interested.

It's not ridiculous given the C63 is detuned by what 50-75 HP over the other 63 AMG cars. It seems they've undone the retardation and added a few ponies?? Not saying it's not a great car, because I love them, but this tuner is mostly giving back what Mercedes took away. That would be a fun car.

Is that how the C63 is detuned? I always thought it was in timing and fuel controls (big reason why C63 is such a huge gas guzzler), as well as a more restrictive exhaust.

Oh ya, the 7 speed tranny is torque limited, not HP limited, which is why you don't see any of the supercharged or turbocharged AMG motors with that tranny. Not sure what the limit is, but it's definately under what the 55 makes in torque (530tq I believe).

From what I read on mbworld.org tuner threads that's how mb retuned the engine. The chip tuners are adding true wot w/ more agressive timings to get massive gains that is more in line w/ fi. Every tune has under 400 wlb/ft torque. The c63 is my lotto car... Unless I don't fit then I will have to step up to a cl63 :)

need hella lot more than a million to drop on a cl63. If I won a million pretty much all I would do is pay off the house and the rest for security for when I retire. A million doesn't go that far any more.
