Ok, I'm starting project, "make my smart car less gay" Phaze 1 was wheels, they landed today. Next will be coilovers, exhaust and Brabus rear fenders. (Maybe flairs, not sure yet.) I have already had it tuned at RCTS. I will keep this updated as parts acquisitions happen over the winter. Let the flaming begin!!!!!

Starting with this,

Those rims are a terrible choice for a smart car.

A+ for effort, its your car I can't tell you what rims to buy, I can just say that in my personal opinion.... they are just not a great fit for the car.

Also curious about the power that sucker laid down.

I'm turning the car into a rollerskate!! For those of you curious about the POWER....pre-tune, 38whp, 75ft/lbs. Post tune, 52whp, 89ft/lbs. Needless to say the car is shit slow and will be worse with the wheels. I have the G if I want to hoon around at a c-note.....for everything else, there's the smart car!!!! I love the way old school VW's look when guys run the super agressive offsets, hence the wheel choice.

Here's what it should look like with the Brabus rear fenders + lowered.

I might paint the centers and end up with a look similar to this.

It looks good just the way it is. If you paint it red, it may look tacky.

But that's just my opinion. :)

very unique around these parts. get it as low as you can too.. then these guys will be raving!

actually, maybe have the wheels painted red to really set it off.

yeah if you are somewhat after the vw look....

you know you HAVE to paint the centers :)

Are your wheels the same specs as these ones? Yours look like they are sittin outside a little bit more but I'm not sure.

Same wheels as above...and below. I have already appologized to him over at eurodrivers. The look of that car is exactly what I am after. I think red centers might look good, if I paint them it won't look like I'm completely ripping off his car!!!

This one looks dope!! If I paint the wheels black and run a red stripe, it will match my "G"

How wide are they and whats the offset?

Not really surprised that 2 people in town would rock those wheels. They are TOO sick. The amount of dish in the rear is just insane.

www.tyrestretch.com if you want to see what different sized tires look like on various widths :)

Wow...the mustang wheels kill it for me. They look like retro beater hot rod wheels, not something that belongs on a smart car.

Sorry.

Just say no to body colored rims. Doesn't look good on red. You could paint them black though, but I think that is played out. Would look good though.

Cool project, stretch FTW.

That is so wicked man.
Props for a wicked wheel/tire combo.

Enough dish to make the jdm hardparkers shiver.

You should paint the dish the same color as the body. Saw a white M6 w/ painted dish (white), and it looks super hot!
