Let's hear it! I want my dad to get either one of these when the Odyssey's leas is up in November..Haven't heard a price on the TL but im guessing it should be around the same range...

at this point, from the reading ive done, what sets the TL apart is the indash DVD 5.1..blah blah the review i read said it was better than a home theatre!....other than that most stats are aorund the same, keep in mind the car will be automatic since my mom will be driving it too! lets hear your opinions

nissan all the way man
the new maximas are so sexy
check out the infinitis, the G35 coupe, same as the 350Z right? and look at the G35 sedan? its pretty much a maxima, so, when u think bout it liek that, ur driving a 4 dr 350Z, and thy both use the VQ35DE, which ive obnly heard good things about as wel....
maxima all the way, the TL is a ncie ride, but, if i were to pick any sedan, not including something BMW or mercedes, liek soem, thing outta jap companies, not including like lexus, infiniti, acure etc but theyre mother companies, id go nissan all the way, and the maxima has been their flagship for some time now...

I would say go for the TL-S. My dad has an '03 A-Spec, and damn that car is awesome. I like the car way more than the new Maxima, although I have never driven the maxima. And for an automatic, the TL-S tiptronic tranny is very good, and responsive. Unlike the TL-P which the tiptronic is slow, and delayed.

i've yet to see the new TL in real life yet, so I checked out the Maxima pretty good during the summer and its one sweet car. its powerful, its extremely comfy, large trunk space, loads of features ( like front and rear heating seat, heated steering wheel, auto-folding side mirror.. etC) and its damnnn sexy!

note: im comparing the new-redesigned '04 TL, but the '03 would suffice to say the least :)

I would pick the NEW TL over the Maxima, based on the styling inside and outside. Performance wise, it should be pretty close, but I don't think that's a big issue if it's your parent's car. :D

You get way more car for the money in a TL.

The Maxima looks like an inflated Saturn Ion.

for 04, u can get a sport package on the tl which means 6 speed, lsd, and a bunch of sporty refinements.

id personally pick the tl. maxima is played out.

with the max... can you TORQUE steer? that is the only drawback that I can think of.

I would get the TL...

TL is very stunning and offers a great combination of price, performance, luxury, and aesthetics.

Yes, and I was talking about the '03 just to give an Idea.. because the 04 will be even better, and I would already pick the 03 over the maxima.

I know there is no 04 TL-s, I was just saying this to compare the 03, cuz I have yet to drive the 04, let alone see one.

Now that you pointed it out, I kinda agree... the lines are so alike. But other than that, there is no comparison between the two.

I would get an 04 TL for sure they look unreal and the audio system is suppose to be wicked too, I read a review that said it was better than the system in the LS430. Plus the 04 TL's will have Navi as an option, a first for Honda/Acura in Canada. The Maximas are nice too but I like the TL better.

and bose sucks.

with the 04 TL, you get a factory dual stage CAI and brembos (with the dynamic package).

I'd go with the Maxima, There's too many TL, TL-S, driving around, and 99% of them all look the same, no matter what year.
