I'd stay away from auctions. You can't actually test drive it, since you can only move forward and back like 5 feet. Plus, it's dark inside so there might be hidden damage that you can't see.

I almost bought a CRX again. It was an 88 Si. Test drove it twice (loved it!!!!) and bargained it down to 3800 from 4700 and I told the guy, "I'll buy it when I get a VIN check and an inspection from a mechanic on Tuesday". But the dude called me about an hour ago to say that he sold it for 4200 to someone else.

Oh well.

I saw one last week in motorworld, a free magazine that is distributed every week. Asking 2400 or something...red..5spd...it was at some small used car dealership.

I'll try to pick up one of the magazines if I see it.

Was gonna mention it to you but thought you were in edmonton.

I agree with the people who suggested to stay away from the auctions, this is not a good way to buy a decent car, especially your first car! You'll much rather buying the car straight from the owner. But good luck! I would try the bargain finder, canada trader (calgary,edmonton, where ever else your willing to travel) and check out the for sale posts on the calgary car forums:thumbsup:

How did I miss this thread. One of my buddies is selling his CRX. I don't know all the details, but he is quite serious about selling it now. Car is in Sask right now, but we can get it here very quickly.

No rust, very clean car, pretty much mint interior but no performance mods yet.
