Help with microsoft word bullets

So usually when I am using bullets in microsoft word and push enter, a new bullet will appear underneath. Pushing tab will indent the bullet and change the shape of the bullet. However, pushing tab now only indents by creating a space and the bullet does not indent with it. Did I accidentally click the wrong option?
