I have a bunch of stills that I want to make a high quality slideshow from. Can anyone recommend a good program for this? The key feature I need is a large variety of transitions and fine control over each transition. PowerPoint and Windows Movie Maker are good, but their transitions and transition control are sorely lacking. Ease of use would be good too, but I know this doesn't always come hand-in-hand with a powerful editor. Given the choice, I'd trade ease of use away for a better editor.

Thanks for this!

I ran this post in tandem with my own research - and that led me to ProShow Gold. It's an awesome program and it's nice to see the posts in your thread back up that opinion.

Although I'm settling with ProShow, I'll make a note of an even better program for anyone else who digs up this thread.

Adobe Premier Elements is even better and provides a ton more control over every aspect of the slideshow. With that said however, it is a little more difficult to use because of its wide flexibility and it's very expensive.
