This latest computer generated rendering gives us a preview of a possible design direction GM could take for its next Corvette, suggesting that the unannounced concept vehicle seen on the set of the movie Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen could be the inspiration for the car. Some of the elements carried over from the concept include the egg-crate grille, vertical slat headlights, side vents, and the jet-fighter glasshouse.

I did a photoshop here on Beyond a few years ago.

The lines in the Corvette I did are similar to that rendering.

I will have to dig it up when I get home.

Looks good though!

It's the evolution of the current design. I'm sure the actual concept and inevitable production model will look a lot more Corvette-ish.

That looks like the bastard love child of a Ferrari 599GTB and a Corvette z06.

Still, looks nice, but I can't see the headlights evolving into somthing like that.

And at any rate, with the way the automotive industry is going, I've heard GM is pushing back a redesign of a new Corvette for a couple more years.

I can't say that the C6 is ugly at all. I just hate the grille. Other than that, I think its one of the most attractive looking cars in recent history.

interesting, quite angular, but i would assume that a production model would be much more subdued. It is a long time before that car will see the light of day.

That's clearly a low-quality rendering. I bet you the C7 will look nothing like this in the end.

Why would they call it a "Z07"? It would be a Z06 if nothing else.
