I'm coming home around 3 last night, driving past Tazza going eastbound till the T and head up the hill, which is pretty steep so I step on it a bit. I'm halfway up the hill and this fucking deer jumps in front of my SUV just missed the fucker; I nearly shit my pants! I've lived in this area my entire life and have seen plenty of coyotes in the gully but a deer on the road, never! So uh, I guess this is a heads up if you live in the area, watch out for deer! hahaha I am still shocked

I almost hit a deer on crowchild one time near sarcee, it was weird, i did not know deer could jump fences that high.

See them all the time down around 130 south and up around Beddington north. They're losing their habitat due to construction, what do you expect? :dunno:

I've seen deer just off 4th street and 17th ave near the elbow.

I've seen multiple porcupines, deers, skunks, bunny rabbits, evil red eyed squirrels the size of dogs in Bridgeland.

Also saw a big white tail munching on grass at crowchild and bowtrail in the middle of winter

Deer are quite common to see in the Millrise area because of the proximity to Fish Creek.

I saw a moose walking the streets of Pumphill a couple years ago. And I saw a bear cub drinking water at the reservoir too.

I read this thread and I remembered when I was cruising along Shaganappi Trail just under the 16th Ave NW bridge, a family of ducks (mommy and like 4 of her chicks) walked across the highway...very calm... just like pedestrians... and both me and the car on the other lane had to stop for them to cross by.. not some deer or extreme animals story but I'd say CUTE. Haha.
