Hi guys,

Just bought a brand new Mazdaspeed3 and the very first thing I'm doing to it is getting rid of the POS stock Bose system.

I've already bought two sets of Focal 165K2Ps and I'm looking at getting a fairly high end amp to power them up but I'm pretty noob when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I've been looking at both the Audison VRX series (a little pricey for me) and the Zapco REF 1000.4. Anyone have experience with these or can recommend something else?

What's your budget? How much are you willing to fork out?

Pretty open, the amps I'm looking at range anywhere from $800-2000 but I'd like to keep it as low as possible while getting the most out of these speakers.

I would check out the TE1004 from MTX, very nice and not too bad price wise, about 1,000 - 1,200.

If you are interested i am selling my Zapco Ref 750.2.
http://www.zapco.com/prod/ref_prods/7502Frame.htm

It will run both sets of comps no problem as it is 2 ohm stable per channel and will do huge power! This is also a very very nice sounding amp, just check out the specs. Selling for $350

But for new i like the Macrom line of amps the M1 line very nice.

^ Do want... dammit I wish I could come up with a reason of why I'd need that amp... to convince myself to buy it. Thats a SMOKIN' deal for a 750watt Zapco amp.
Oh man the torture.
