There was another member here that has an 08 Challenger, if anyone remembers him, let me know please.

09' Dodge Challenger R/T - Silver

I pick up the car this afternoon and we are off to Victoria for a 4day long weekend, I cannot wait to hit the highway with it hehehe. I have the new upgraded exhaust system and intake ready to go in the garage, now just looking for a chip/ tuner for it.

Pics will follow this afternoon!!

You're an idiot but you're a funny idiot, so that's ok. Or pitiful.

Either way...

thanks everyone, on my way out to pick it up, it's all detailed and ready to roll, I liked the look and the style and quality is pretty clean. I'm happy.

I was hoping to get the muffler system on today and the intake in, but pressed for time as we are driving it to Victoria for a 4day weekend. I'll post pics along the route.

Congratulations!

You are going to have fun driving on the coquihalla, just make sure you don't go too fast, I think cops are cracking down on speeding. I wonder if there is snow on certain parts of the highway yet...

Will you be staying in Vancouver for a couple nights?

If so, make sure you go to Hy's steak house in downtown or if you like seafood, there's a place in the four season's hotel that is very good!

In Victoria, you should check out the Wax museum, pretty cool stuff.

The clubbing scene isn't very big in Vic though.

Isn't there specific break in speeds not to exceed etc etc for a new car? gonna have a tough time doing that on the Coquihalla, have fun!

i'll have to say tho, Victoria is boring as hell for 'younger' adults, unless your up for solitude on secluded beaches, and those fken BS BC government liquor stores that close at 6pm there wasn't much to do there when i went this summer :dunno:

the srt8 is the 6.1L hemi one, found in the 300 and charger (425 hp)
then it's the 5.7L hemi (350-370HP) found in the other 2 as well

then it's the base 3.5L (250HP) that carries in the other 2 models, also

Might just be me but those chrome peices over the wheel wells really kills it for me. I dont think I would have gone for that colour over black either...Dosent look as mean in a way. Still a nice car, enjoy it!

you know what's worse than that, people don't realize this but doing that causes premature rust on wheel wells, yes even if it's held in place with double sided tape

i've seen it many a times when a customer would say 'can you remove them' and i take off one screw or start peeling the tape and the rest of it crumbles off. just a word of advice.

dirt /slush / salt get trapped underneath - promotes rusting

sorry, the comment wasn't meant to be sarcastic, it was stated in humor, there isn't any chrome on the car, looks like it due to the lip on the fender flare in the sunlight, there isn't any chrome accents on this car.

i dont think thats chrome just the reflection.... eather way if it is chrome insearts, its not good for the metal unerneath over time it will rust as stated above.... Nice colour choice :burnout:

My bad haha I guess the way the fender is, it looks to be a sort of add-on with the sun hitting it.

did you get the 6-speed?

canadian canuck
12-08-2008, 12:19 PM
the 6spd wasn't offered unless you purchased the SRT8, and now Dodge released the 6spd option a few buyers are a little pissed, but ahhh what can you do, I got the track package in mine, so I'm happy either way.
