Looking for someone (local) who will stud brand-spankin' new tires.

So far I have got the following three quotes (include taxes):

Kal Tire: $171
Harpers Tire $126
Guy From Calgary Sports Car Club $80

Yeah he quoted me $30 a tire but his hours of operation really suck, I would have to take a day off work to take them into him.

I studded the tires on my LS last year! I also live outside the city and have to highway drive every single day! best investment for my car! ;)

No.

They are legal year-round in Calgary. They are also legal year-round in Quebec. In Ontario they are illegal at any time. In Manitoba (and I believe Sask, too) they are only legal starting in October and ending in April - you cannot run studs in the 'summer' months.

I haven't checked the laws for BC or the maritime provinces.

Edit: The Ontario HTA actually specifies 'northern ontario' as being exempt from that equipment specification, and can run studded tires.
