It is a Calgary based forum but if you refrain from making dumb threads and didn't join solely as a means to sell your TSX then you should fit right in!

having troubles with comprehending the first line lol, but sry, assuming is just the trend when someone says z32 these days. i should know better than to whip out the 'jump to conclusions mat' :D

btw, ZR is just speed rating of sometimes 240 km/h but mandatory on 300 km/h and above, not impossible at all, i had Falken 512s on for 2 winters, that was sketchy.
Try Potenza RE 030's in snow, completely impossible lol.

Do it. Winter tires = awesome.

Nothing beats a set of winter tires. I had all seasons once, then the year after bought winters. From now on I will always have winters. Such an amazing difference. Well worth it.

You both read my mind.

I have never had a set on a car, but i have seen them in action.. I have to say they are very tempting.

Im looking at grabbing a set of Nokian WR's or maybe Eagle Ice Grip's.

Maybe studding.

i never believed in them until i started mounting winter tires when i used to work for the automotive industry and would have to take them for test drive around the stealership after, from then i always tried to equip the winter beats with them.

i just bought new Toyo Observes for the teg beater, ain't risking shit all this winter driving all the way out here to springbank via highway 1 every morning.

WR's are all weather tires, not all season tires and not winter tires. Extremely good tires you can drive year round, both my parents have them on their cars.

BUT!

If you want a pair of SICK winter tires, that don't wear down as fast as Blizzaks or X-Ice's when we have our Chinooks, get the Nokian RSi. I had them on my Mustang LX. Absolutely amazing for deep deep snow and really slick ice (like when water freezes on top of packed down snow). Would recommend them hands down and they're not as expensive all Bridgestones or Michelins either.

You can fit 285's, can get away with 275's. Unless you have some 11' wide aftermarket rims

And yes they do sell them, I think it's 285/35r18

Yea get some 185's for the civic, skinnier the tire, better traction through deep deep snow anyways. Also lighter and not rear wheel drive.

Rock the civic

well if you're too poor for extreme brand names even if you get crappy tire nordics you're improving your safety during winter somewhat, better than none at all IMO.. i had nordics on my costanza when i was at SAIT aerospace up at the international (live @ the end of deerfoot south), not bad at all, like i said better than nothing..
