Anyone have any suggestions for what can sooth strep troat...I have tried everything and nothing seems to work..I mean it works for the period that iam using it.....anyone have any suggestions?

This is killin me...i have been up since 5am:banghead:

Yea, the salt water will work over time to reduce the infection.

There are some numbing sprays you can buy, I can't remember the exact name but I think it might be "Strepsil". I think they work for about 1-3 hours before you need to reapply.

go to the doctor and get medicine.. that's the best thing you can do

yup go to the Dr...try some oil of oregano, but the Dr is the best solution along with some pain killers and gargling.

yup, he'll most likely prescribe you penicillin, had strep throat last winter during that deep freeze, sucks

There is a BIG difference between a regular sore throat and Strep. You need penicillin/treatment right away. It IS contagious, don't give it to the wife or lil one.

strep throat definately is the worse.

i got it while i was on vacation last year in Aruba...didn't think it was strep throat till my GF got sick and than found it was strep throat.

I was sick for 3 weeks..worse sore throat ever, i should have just gone to the doctor but yeah i don't like doctors.

Strep throat just doesn't go away on its own that easily.

Go to the doctor. Especially if you have a fever with it.

the treatment is going to the doctor and getting medicine.. there is no other way around it

I let strep throat go way too long once and my sense of taste has never been the same, and that was over 5 years ago.

i went to the Doctors, and got some meds a few days ago...but it hurts like crazy still

more info.. a few days meaning yesterday?
you also need to finish the whole bottle so there is a chance that it will take the entire bottle to be clear

Get a couple boxes of cepacol extra strength. You can get it at any place with a pharmacy. Excellent for relief.

It's gonna hurt until the anti-biotics run their course. Keep taking the pills as prescribed.
