Which would be a better choice, a Legend or RL? I know they are basically the same car but is it smarter to spend less money and get a Legend or spend a little more and get an (older) RL? Because I am thinking about getting this Legend so, if anyone who has had one or has one, would you please give me some insight as to how your experience with it has been?

Or should I get a 2000 Maxima GLE?

It depends, overall (Sedan wise, unless your comparing the 6MT GS) I would go with the RL (having owned both). If you seek a sporty (er) ride, go with the Legend. The RL is quite a bit more refined than the Legend, with better reliability (sidestepping the major caveat on the Legend, Blown Head Gaskets) on the whole.

Any questions in particular? I would be more than happy to answer them.

Personally, I was never impressed by maximas, but to each their own.

having owned both a legend and a GS. I say go with an older GS300.... even a 93-97 GS300 is better than a legend/RL/TL. Price wise it shouldnt be TOO far off cause they are all older vehicles.

Your GS was a very nice condition 98+ model. The second gen GS were fantastic cars, but I believe out of his price range.

The 1st Gen GS' are great cars (more expensive than the Legend when new, RWD, more power), however are very hard to come by.

I forgot to mention, if your dreadfully boring, consider a Toyota Avalon, a competent used luxury car.
