hrm, very large area you're talking about with tons of good restaurants (most in canmore of course). what kind of atmosphere/cuisine are you looking for?

Tapas is by far my favorite restaurant in the Rockies. They have a warm, intimate ambiance with great food and outstanding attention to detail.

I make it a regular stop during snowboarding trips and have yet to be disappointed.

there is also Zona's right by tapas. that place is awesome.

but again, what are you looking for, in terms of atmosphere, cuisine, price, etc. etc. etc. there are tons of great places in canmore, if you're not sure you should just walk around town and take a look at menus. but if you've got some idea of what you're looking for, then you could ask on here but really no one wants to list off the 50 restaurant options for you :)

You should definitely hit up Crazy Weed... awesome place in my opinion. i spend the 4 months of my summer when im off from school in Canmore because my family owns a restaurant up there which it looks like BlackRadon is fan of  hahaha and i always make sure i go to Crazy Weed... Also i really enjoy the pasta dishes with seafood in it at Patrino's.

In general i think most of the places there are really good with a really nice and cozy atmosphere that you dont get at the big generic places like Earls and Joeys etc.

thanks for the suggestion guys

we went to Zona's, food was tasty, service was great, staff was very friendly and atmosphere was pretty cozy.

We ordered
In house maple smoked salmon, artichoke heart and cream cheese dip.
Leg of Lamb w/ rice
Spaghetti with Ragu sauce
Basa fish fillet
Short Ribs w/ rice

a pint of Maple Red and a bottle of red wine.

staff accidentally charged us only a glass of red wine instead of the bottle, had it fixed.

walking to Zona on 9th st we saw "The Through Restaurant" I think it was, looked pretty good aswell so probably will hit that next time. I think I missed tapas though

IMO the restaurant scene in canmore is great, and we should instead make a list of places to avoid. i would say stay from boston pizza (factory pizza and pasta FTL), and also the drake in (had a pretty terrible brunch there one time). what else to add to the list? cause i've had pretty great experiences at most of the places i've been in canmore.

Avoid Boston Pizza, my wife and I ate there a couple of months ago, we ate different dishes and drank different drinks. She was not the same for a week, massive food poisoning. Now if you want to remember a meal, eat at BP Canmore. If only I did not like their Brute....the spiked meal would not have happened.
