Hey, was wondering what you guys thought of both?

I like both, just not entirely sure which one i will get.

discussion?

Price issues? Why is the hatch more expensive?

I prefer the hatch, that's solely based on my preference though. The sedan still looks awkward for some reason but I can't really put my finger on it.

I bought an older WRX sedan and I'm wishing I would have bought the hatch for utilities sake alone.

For your MY Impreza is also looks a lot better.

Hatch for sure. Sedan looks odd IMO.

I do not understand this "your My Imprezza"

But yeah,

people seem to be hating ont he STI this year,

It can't be that bad!

Hatch because it has more utility space and since the STI is hatch they have more in common from a looks standpoint. The sedan rear end looks poorly implemented IMO.

Your 'Model Year' Imprezza....

Anyways, yes the hatch looks way better and is more functional.

MY = Model year

IMO the older Imprezas look better as a sedan but the newer ones the hatch is much more attractive.

It isn't that bad and actually it's the best STI ever if you are looking for a daily driver. Dissapointment comes from the fact that it doesn't handle as well as the last generation STI's (and not not even close to the EVO X) and the conservative looks of the 08+ WRX's in general. IMO the 08's+ look light years better than the older models which IMO were amongst the ugliest cars ever but most of the Subie fanboys claim the opposite.

because I want less hatch on the road :D

I like the sedan. The new STI seems like a pretty wicked car.

Couldn't agree more. I like the hatch, and think the new STI is a very cool looking car. Especially the white/gold or black/gold combos.

I'm kinda going againstthe grain here then,

Int he pictures the hatch does look really good comapred to the sedan,

I went toa suby dealer however, and the hatch in my oppinion looks like the next genration mazda 3, Or at least one of the sketchings someone does on how they think it will look.

This is my oppninon and i know i asked,

I'm going to test drive the hatch and see if i feel diffewent in it then i did in the sedan, but I'm LEaning towards the sedan.

I will agree though the tail lights on teh sedan are kinda gross.

Might be a minor mod i do. if all goes well.

Actually fuck it, I can't decide on anything. I like the sedan now. Slow day, going down to Subaru later to see if they have anything left. WRX265 > 335I (too many douches on this forum with one) j/k j/k j/k

^ Have you looked at the new Mitsu Ralliart? 95% Evo for 75% of the price. I've driven it and the new WRX265 and while the WRX is a nice car and would make a fast and very comfortable daily driver, the Mitsu was more fun to drive, the twin clutch gearbox was terrific, and it's much better looking. It's priced about the same as well, and also comes with those amazing Recaro seats.

I'm still very happy with my WRX265 and have already put 5300km on it!:)

I'm not a fan of the lancer, a little too boy racer for me.

Thanks though,

To each their own.

No worries, I actually think it's one of the best looking sedans on the road today, and not boy-racer at all. That's why I suggested it.

So I visited Bobby Clarke at Subaru Calgary in the NE this afternoon. He's definitely the guy to go to for your Subaru needs.

Even though I didn't request a test drive (road conditions). Bobby took the initiative and had one warmed up anyway.

WRX265 is a good car. I'm glad you like yours Dirty_SOHC. More refined and noticeably more powerful than MY06. I just don't know if I like the new one that MUCH more than my current one. Time + money is invested in my current one and it's hard to let it go.

yeah I would keep your current wrx just because with your mods I dont think you will find too big of a deal switching over unless of course you wanted to get a hatch.

if it was the STI thats another story.

my brother and I test drove the 265 and STI and yes the 265 indeed has and feels like a 300hp car, but we were sold on the interior of the STI much more especially it is track ready. I sure hope they build the new track project :nut:

one of these days we need a white team subie meet with Max_boost and Dirty_SOHC. Anyone else have a white subie?

For a second i thought you meant white boy subie meet.

I'm getting the classic blue, I love the other blue, but it did not offered on the 265

Yeah blue is the best for wrx/sti
That's what I own right now.
If I were to get another wrx/sti I would get blue again.

D'z Nutz has a white 2.5i 2008. If we did a meet we would almost have every generation WRX in white minus the bugeye!
