Paper question.

I am writing a paper for one of my classes that I have really no clue where to start on research.I am by no means asking people to write my paper. that's something I'd rather do myself
f however I am having trouble with the topic and I figured that people on here are pretty smart and may be able to give me some type of direction

the question is:

Discuss the role of Mutual Funds and Pension Funds in the North American market. What purpose do they serve? How are they governed? Who do they serve?

So far I have Mutual fund objectives and the benefits with it...

Any help?

Hit your local library and bust out anything by Gordon Pape. I'm pretty sure he goes through the advantages of mutual funds in just about every book. Plus, he's well respected and a credible reference.

Or there is probably one of those "idiots guides to mutual funds" in the library as well. it'll run through those exact questions you are asking.
