Someone told me that we can buy or rent those little microphone things in the doctors office to listen to the baby's heart beat.

anyone know where we can get these, to buy or rent?

You can get them for SUPER cheap on ebay as well (usually the cost of renting it for 2 or 3 months), then you can own it for future kids.

^^ Those things are shit, they're meant to be used further along in the pregnancy, when she'll already be able to feel kicks and movement.

When my wife was pregnant, we looked into this fetal doppler:

You can rent them and then at the end of the term your rent can go towards purchasing them as well. She's gotta be at the 10-12 week stage though. We never went ahead with it, we were trying to save money...

So instead we bought a stethoscope. Waste of money, you'll get frustrated trying to figure out where your baby's heart is and trying to figure out what attachment to use.

They work fine. We still have one sitting around. If you would like to borrow it, send me a PM.
