honestly i think pho is a passed down kinda thing thru family is what i mean. i'm asian and my buddies grandmother refused to give me the recipe (wanted my mother to make it)

mind you real pho takes over night to cook iirc from last time i was at a viet friends for Tet this February. are you prepared to boil soup bones overnight? lol

you can get pho bouillon cubes from T&T, although i'm sure they are packed of msg

On top of that, most places that stopped using MSG replaced it with a similar glutamate with the same side-effects (again, only if consuming insane amounts).

Don't purposely gorge on MSG but don't go out of your way to avoid it.

^^people avoid msg not because it's "bad" for you, but because it's a drug that deceives you into thinking that your food tastes good. it's usually put into low-grade food to make it more palatable and to make people eat more. and, it makes you thirsty. but i don't think it's ever been claimed to be unhealthy for you. people just don't want to eat shit with drugs that make their brain think it's nutritious.

The most important thing you will need to make is the broth. Perfect that and you've got great Pho. As for the actual soup and the ingredients list, there should be tons on the net. I don't have one on hand.
