edit: just called Costco and they say they don't carry it because it's some reverse pole or something??? I'm like WTF, you don't carry a replacement battery for a honda civic??? It's only one of the most popular cars in North America??? I must have got some tool on the phone, better go in and check it out myself. sigh...

i got my replacement battery at walmart. here's the deal. hondas that are manufactured in north america get batteries that are made by a company called johnson controls. same people that make optima batteries, etc. they also make a bunch of batteries that get rebadged. the energizer batteries at walmart are made by johnson controls and are pretty cheap. the oem honda battery was $98 for 550 cca. the energizer i bought was $70 for 650 cca.

Hey man, might need that spare afterall. It was hesitant to start this morning and it stalled on me when I hit the brakes without hitting the clutch in 1st gear! Lemme how much for a new one too.
