Ok everyone... make your voice heard. This is a petition to the RCMP and Red Deer Airport Authorities and Municipality. The following people would like to express their deepest disgust towards the canceling of venue (Red Deer Airport) for the Drag Warz event which was to be held August 24th, 2002. Many people painstakingly prepared their automobiles for this event. Many people took time off of their jobs and personal lives to be a part of this event. People made many sacrifices and a lot of effort to organize this event. A lot of time, energy and money was used to try and bring together auto enthusiasts to a safe and enjoyable environment.

RESTRICTING RIGHTS TO CONGREGATE FOR THE MANY IS NOT A SOLUTION TO THE VIOLENT PROBLEMS OF A FEW.

Post your full name here (full name only please). Note: By entering your name to this list you agree with what is said above and have signed your name to this petition.

Not allowing an event based on racial profiling and stereotyping is a bad idea. Not only that, the crusade to take illegal street racing OFF the street and into a safe venue just took a few steps backward.

Cancel legal venues for enthusiasts creates hostility of many which surpasses that of few. If you wish to keep ppl from getting hurt or killed legal streetracing encourage these events, and have a strong presence at the event.

Events such as these should be promoted not cancelled, as it brings the Real enthusiasts off of the streets to a safer
Enviroment.

Race events like this should be encouraged not cancelled as it allows racers to race in a safe and controlled environment.

Cancelling this event Does Nothing But Hurt the Relationship Between The Police Force and The Automotive Society. And Shows the Narrow mindedness of the Police Force and Goverment:thumbsdow

Unwise decision. You may as well say that you don't care if people race on the streets, because that's where they are headed if you cancel venues like this.

Lets boot about 500 people who probably spent a gross of a 1/4 million dollars getting their cars ready to race onto the streets. This isnt the best way to promote legal events, by closing them down a week before they happen. A lot of people spent time advertising this, and Im sure some people still wont hear about this until they show up in red deer. A bunch of nice show cars, or race cars getting together doesnt mean someone will be shot, or killed.

Personally I think this is conveying the message "We dont want you promoting racing, we dont want people racing at all.". Sending a bunch of people with race fuel, funny gas (nitrous), brand new equipment (tires, turbos, stupidchargers and other mods) out onto the street will be quite a bit more dangerous than having a legal, safe event.

Anyone have the email addresses for the mayor of red deer, the counsel for the air port, and whoever is incharge at the rcmp for that area?
