6 speed. I do like the m-dct, and like dual clutch in general, but I enjoy the skill of heel-toe, and don't mind being a little slower for it.

Nice car.

I mean no offence - it's just my opinion - but I never did like the rear lights on these models. They just don't look aggressive enough. The rest of the car is wicked though. Those rims really help set it off.

Dunno yet, most M3 guys are throwing on forged monoblock wheels, but I am thinking maybe BBS LMs or something similar.

Yep, the deals on the 08s were pretty good. I actually go the last one in Calgary, but there are a few left in Canada so people can still pick them up if they want a crazy deal.

Nice ride. Welcome to the club.
I just found out yesterday, that 19" 's are pretty much the "Anti-douche".

I went from the stock 18's to some 19's with ultra low-pro tires (30's). Not recommended.... at all... the ride is ultra-harsh now. It feels like i have no suspension. :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

I now know, just how brutally harsh deerfoot it. Especially the 17th ave SE/Blackfoot to Deerfoot southbound on-ramp.
My CD-player skips the whole time. Until I'm at the Piegan off ramp

If you DO get 19's, make sure you can sport some tires that are at least 40's or 45's. I have 35's in the front and 30's in the back, and its fucking hell... seriously. :banghead:

The ride quality went to about 1/4 to what it normally is:cry:

I find myself driving below the speed limit whenever I can, and slowing down excessively for any potholes or dips/bumps in the road. I'm now looking at other spring/shock options. :(

Must be the tires because I have the same size and the ride is great. About the same as 17" RFT. But my tires give up a lot of grip for the ride compliance, but it is perfect for someone like me with 2 car seats in the back.

That sucks, what tire pressure are you running? I drove an M3 with 19s and EDC set to soft and the ride wasn't too harsh.

Someone was right about the tire pressures, I just tossed them on, I should check that.

But they're
265/30/19 (rear) (19 x 10)
235/35/19 (front) (19x8.5)

Apparently the offsets may not be working properly with the OEM suspension geometry. So thats something I'd definately research WELL before opting to get a set.

The ones on my car aren't ideal, but rather then get anal-raped through USD VS. CAD conversion charges, I bought locally. :dunno:

So far the rub issues are fine though, but wow, is the suspension ever rock solid now.

Wow dude that sounds really shitty. Do you have oem springs? I had lowering springs, and 19s as well on 30 series on my M3. The m3 is naturally a stiffer ride, but it wasn't as bad as what your describing. It wasn't comfortable as oem but it i could live with it. The car was really low too.

OP- Wicked car, i love the 4 doors

Do you have any vibrations in your steering at higher speeds? I have the same sizing as you and it's still fairly comfortable imo

No not at all, short of what is created through bumps in the road. I wouldn't call that an unwarrented vibration though, just bumps and dips that I can feel through the steering. :dunno:

I found out partially why the ride was so viciously rough, the guy that I bought the rims from had the tire pressure set at 80 for the fronts, except for one rear tire that had 4psi in it, and the other with 24psi :nut:
Odd considering the max pressure for the Toyo TR1's are 40psi.
