It's actually the opposite. Those who refrain from stupidity are the minority here.

I'm actually thinking about buying an Ion Redline as my next car (a few years down the road.)

How's the reliability and driveability? I've heard that the electric steering feels really weak and hurts the handling of the car.

Also, welcome to beyond.

I have heard that about the EPS in a non-redline Ion; however my car handles like a dream! Only problems I have had is a clutch and the second gear synchro went which was covered under warranty. However the LSJ and the Saab (F35 I believe) transmission is VERY chattery so if you can't stand a rather noisy car I dont recommend it.

Power is awesome, the supercharger whine with my CAI is addictive and loud. Also; with the GM stage kits you can build 40+ HP and still be under warranty.

A great place for information is www.redlineforums.com

And thanks for all the welcomes.

Yeeaah, I have no problems with a loud car haha. My car makes a lot of noise for it's size, kind of like an annoying bee. What's it like driving with the gauges in the fricken middle of the dash?

Thanks for the link!

Hi, welcome to Beyond. Nice car, sleek and clean. I'll bet it is fast. A small pulley for your SC will barely cost anything. Short of injectors, you're almost at the Stage III kit already.
Factory boosted cars FTW:D

Its pretty fast for sure. 12PSI will make everything fast though lol. To run injectors and a smaller pulley you have to tune the ECU, and I dont have HPTuners heh(yet). Thanks for the comments :).

As for the middle gauges; they take a bit of getting used to, however after that I prefer them to other gauges.

And don't get me started on Edmonton vs Calgary:bigpimp:

^ Interesting. I thought the kits were

-Stage I - Smaller pulley
-Stage II- Smalller pulley as in Stage I kit PLUS 550cc injectors
-Stage III - Smaller-"er" pulley (one size down) and 600cc injectors.

I didn't know an ECU tune was in the (factory) works for any of those said stages.... interesting. It would make sense though with altered fuel mapping curves. :dunno:

Stage I is 42lb injectors and a ECU
Stage II is Stage I and a smaller pulley, and a 7000RPM redline
Stage III is an even smaller pulley, a dual-pass endplate, and a special ECU that disables AC, has an adjustable redline (up to 8000), and "support" for a 50shot of nitrous. It is also not covered under warranty.

Alot of people get Stage II and slap there own smaller pully, extra h/e, dual pass etc.etc. on.

Its kind of a unique system as its all GM Performance Parts and doesn't void your warranty(minus stage 3). Not to mention we are a high boost application (12PSI factory) so cooling/fuel maps etc become a lot more important when that eaton starts really spinning. Stage II is 16 PSI I -think-, and Stage III 18.
