RECOVERED: Green 1992 Honda EG hatch (GJU-002)

1992 Green Honda Civic Hatchback

RECOVERED!!

Last night my car was stolen from 232 Riverside bay SE which is in Riverbend. I woke up at 7:30 and it was gone. I last seen it at 11:00pm last night outside my house.

It is painted Galapogos Green with a little green jdm source sticker on the rear drivers side window and a white "EGHS" sticker on the top left corner of a very cracked windshield.

The front end is messed up, the hood is punched in the bumper paint is messed up and headlight smashed because i crashed a couple days ago. It was swapped with a b16a2 and exhaust and a Carbon fiber duckbill.

The Gold rims and type R front lip arent on right now, it just has steelies and doesnt look nearly as clean as it does in these pictures but this is all i have.

Ive had extremely bad luck with this car and just hope that i can find my baby that i raised from a red stock rust bucket. If found please contact the police imediately and feel free to let me know if you found it at 403-852-1351. I would love to find my car and i hope the help of beyondCSI will do that!

Its not on the gold rims it has steelies on and the lip is off as well

still cant believe it buddy! were gonna find the fuckers dont worry. Everyone keep your eye out it cant be hard to miss with the front end damage, you can literally tell its been in a rear end collision. Maybe post the liscense plate too dy-lon??

Should be an easy spot if it's being driven. Kind of weird that they would steal a car with front end damage.

I live in lynnwood, thats why the car seemed familiar. I will for sure keep an eye open. I will also see if any of the boys in the hood (ogden) know of its whereabouts.

Thats what im worried about, and with front damage they wouldnt attempt to sell it, so i pretty much know i got fucked over nicely. with no money back to cover the theft.

We're going to have to pray its another retard like the "claw" or buddy that stole that red b20 turbo eg and was opening the wastegate everywhere. As a matter of fact seeing as today is friday and i dont feel like spending money going out i think im going to take a jaunt around the city.

Don't be so sure of that. I uncovered a stolen vehicle that was somewhat rare with standout features. He was driving it everywhere and did not change the plate.

Well with it being damaged is another reason i cant see them driving it around.

But to be honest i doubt they knew it was damaged when they stole it. My cars been broken into before outside my house but now that i actually have some money into this one i guess the whole car was worth steeling, shitty for me but what can you do.

as well, if you had just normal insurance on the car (plpd and comprehensive) you can claim it as a stolen car if its not found and have it appraised and get your money back that way...

I only had plpd on my car as it was only worth 1500 bucks to them, because i didnt get it appraised when i painted it and put everything into it. My insurance told me they would not cover it because i didnt have theft on it. Not sure if what your talking about would still work..

And your saying get it appraised if its not found, well how can they appraise it without seeing it..:dunno:

If you didnt have comprehensive(fire/theft/vandalism) insurance on your car then your fucked.. BUT...

with comp

you can take a list of parts/work done on the car hand it over to the insurance appraiser... along with the condition of the body, miles on the engine, wear on the vehicle in general. They will then come up with a value they think is fair and ask you, if you dont think the value they give you is fair then you tell them no, if you do like it then they cut you a check.


on every car i have, i put comp on for this reason alone... its almost no extra cost (couple bucks maybe) and then im safe

I never knew that about aftermarket parts with insurance and i wish i did. The reason i didnt have theft on my car is because i needed an inspection if i wanted theft and my insurance company wouldn't insure anything modified, therefore i didnt bother with it because i thought in end they would still only estimate the cars value at about 1500 bucks.. so yeah

i have just been told by dylan that the car has beeen FOUND!!!! :D they found it in riverbend with only the sub/amp gone, he just told me this over the phone so this is all the info i have but at least he has his car back!!:thumbsup:

Yes the car was found 2 minutes from my house! half hour before i found out where my car was located i reported a guy trying to break into cars at ikea with my sunglasses on so i called 911 they eventually found him later today and arrested him, my car is now in for fingerprinting. Made my day! now time to get wasted at the flames game!!!!!!!!!!!!

The car is pretty much in the same condition it was when it was stolen, minus my sub, amp, backpack, and sunglasses.

Where do you get those locks Ray? Thats pretty sweet, how much and if the price is right and they have some for my car id be down.

Theres a distributor in Vancouver who sold me mine over a Toyota Forum. I can ask him. They cost me $60 shipped and that included 3 locks, 2 for the doors and 1 for the trunk.

It's pretty nice, comes with master key and two extra's. I think it's a nice addition for security.

Took me 5 minutes per door. That's because my door panels were off. It's quite straightforward just like stock locks. Same hardware and all.
