We buy the couple package at Oasis for my parents. They really enjoy it there. Plus, its not uber-girly, so your dad will be comfortable there too.

Another place to try, Edges Salon + Spa in the NW or Stillwater Spa.

I think Oasis has been getting worse over the years. Nothing like they were 5 years ago. Turning into a teenie-bopper hangout more than anything else...loud and annoying kids...

Stillwater is much more classier.

I don't know about that. I treat my girlfriend to monthly spa treatments at Oasis - she chooses a different treatment every month. She's had 5 treatments so far with no complaints. The ambience is fresh, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and experienced, and she's had nothing but compliments about their facility.

I sent my mom there for her birthday as well and she also had a terrific time.

You could send them to the Spa at the Banff Springs. Little day trip, but a bit of a drive.

Maybe it's just the times that when my friends I go... they've overbooked us, so we don't even get a locker, late for our appointments, loud people in the great room, running out of ammenities in the change rooms... meh. I've complained several times to them about it too so I've just moved on. :dunno: Good to know others still have a good time there though.

Cava bien in Garrison Woods.... good place, quiet and relaxing.

80$ for an hour of massage and then a steam bath afterwards.....

I always recommend Sante Spa to my customers and friends. It's located at 4th St. and 25th Ave. SW (?) in front of Earl's and beside that Joyce pub. I think you can visit it and get a tour of the facility.

Seems like a great place. I'll check it out. Prices aren't bad either. Totally hurting from all the workouts etc. Need to relax a bit.

+1.

We did a couple massage there the last weekend. This is probably the best bet, since you do get to enjoy Banff as well.

Plus they have mineral pools and hot tubs, jacuzzi's, steam rooms, etc that you have unlimited use of. They can come and go as much as they like that day. Most of the facilities are co-ed as well. They also have co-ed lounges where they can just relax, order room service, etc. Then they can go for a nice dinner at the hotel.

As for something in Calgary, my wife likes the Stillwater Spa. I sent her for a spa day a while back and she enjoyed it.
