Quick question to everyone who has used a garbage bins that u call the company and drop off a bin. As I recently stated on previous posts about permits I had had enough of the mess my dad had in his backyard so I set out to put all the crap together and haul it to the dump, but it was more then I would've imagined, so I'm wondering if it would be best to order one of those bins or just rent a truck, by the looks of it, it will take atleast 3 trips to the dump. There's a bunch of wood that's starting to rot,metal,3 sofas, old red fabric,2 car windows, shower door and some other crap, what do u guys recommend?:dunno:

I rented a cube truck from Budget to haul all my basement debris to the dump (10,000 lbs worth). Cost me around $120 for the truck for the day, then $105 at the dump. (plus beer and lunch for my very helpful friends)

Quite pricey but u don't have to lift a finger or take it anywhere, they take it for you. They Charge by the volume that fills their truck, i had a couch set so 1 sofa 1 love seat and 1 single seat was about 1/4 truck so about 200+. Hope that helps

Interesting might give them a call but with the zero dump fees, it's kind of hard to believe they might tell me one price and then bill me a whole different ammount.

Actually, you're right, I only had 8500lbs in it, my friends took their pickups with the other 1500lbs.

(my basement was made entirely of brick, plaster & mesh metal lathe)

Tried the 1st 3 links and they're pricey as hell, the 1800 junk guy was asking for 325plus 50% dump fee, the kijijiji link was removed (scam I guess), same as the buysell one, Will probably call Garbage Good Guys and Discount Waste Inc. too see their rates, thanks for the responses

Thanks for the number Tomco, I called on saturday to get the bin delivered on sunday morning and the guy said sure I'll get a driver to drop it off, bin didn't show up, called me at 12pm saying that he couldn't send the bin untill monday morning, he called at 9am showed up at 11am, the bin was filled and the guy wanted to pick it up the next day, but we needed the space, so he picked it up the same day and it only cost me $220 for all the garbage, Will likely phone them up again for future projects, satisfied with their service:thumbsup:
Mods please close thread, thanks:D
