New S2K shoes today...

Just in time for the season, too! :banghead:

Just picked these up from Garageworks in Edmonton... Don't mind the mess in the garage, haha... I haven't done recycling in a while.

Now I just need four things. Tires and summer. And a fender roller. And a drop to make them actually look good.

The fronts are 17x8 +47 offset and a flat face wheel.

The rears are 17x9 +44 offset and have the concave face.

Tires are going to be Dunlop Starspecs, 225/245 wide.

Rota are the copies of this wheel.

Nice wheel. For me it was either this or the RPF1s. I thought the Work looked a bit better, but in the end the Cast Work Emotions are heavier than the stock wheel, while RPF1s are quite a bit lighter than stockies so that sealed the deal for me.

Yeah, I'm not enough of a track rat to really care about the weight... I was looking at RPF1s as well, but just couldn't pull the trigger on a black set.

So I put the stickers on one of the front wheels.... looks a lot less plain now. Bitch to try and get it all straight though. I eyeballed all the decals and I'm pretty sure they all line up.

I left some of them off, like the stupid "Fine Performance Wheel" decal that I think looks tacky. Now to do this three more times.... :(

Nah, not yet. I don't have tires for them and with the dollar so low and the car soon to be parked, I'm not in a hurry to get them mounted.

In April I'll have real pics with the car dropped and the wheels on and the brakes all done up.

Yeah, they're like vinyls that you'd put on your window or something. Hopefully like 80 coats of wax over the winter will keep them on.

Good choice on the tires. Those are supposed to be really decent - similar to RE-01R but a lot cheaper.

I've gone from $1600 for street tires on the NSX to $500-ish for R-compounds on the S2000.

Emotions have a spoke pattern that's great for caliper clearance.

If you're serious about buying them, getting the next smallest offset leaves your options open. I would've done Emotions to clear my Spoon Calipers if I still had my car.
