ppfffft.... carfax? I had terrible results with them. Used some VINs from friends that had cars written off and sold to the insurance company and it still said it was clean. Take the info with great caution.

Had the same problem. I let Carfax know because they had some sort of 'if check a vehicle and the status is wrong you get $1500' or some guarantee thingy (US only)

Anyway they said that they only had accurate info for most states and its in their disclaimer somewhere but refunded my money anyway.
