Econ 301

Anyone on here take Econ 301?! I'm doing it right now and I dunno if it's me but some of the stuff is kinda confusing course this is the first time my prof is teaching the course so that kinda doesn't help either.

But anyways just wondering if anyone on here took it and how they did.

Took it back in 2000 from sicotte (hes gone now from the UofC), failed the first mid term, worked my ass off and came back with an A- overall

is that intermediate macro-econ? yeah..it is confusing as hell at first...but then you write the final and you wonder why on earth you were struggling! haha...i had tracey..he's the best prof for econ IMO.

i just started understanding supply and demand graphs during my final! it was horrible! but i ended up pulling off a decent mark despite fumbling through the first 2/3 of class!

There are a lot of economics majors on here. I'm sure one of us can help you. Econ 301 is a tough class at first, but looking back it seems really easy. The toughest part is figuring out what to do. After that, anything they throw at u is all gravy man

I have Moldovan....she knows her shit but it's the first time she's teaching the course.

It's been so long since I did Econ 201/203 it took me a bit to get back into the understanding of Econ but I spent about 3 hours last night reading the textbook and figuring out the examples the textbook offers. I pretty much understand everything I was having problems with but I'm sure there will be stuff I'll need help with!

Oh yah...anyone on here take Econ 321?

I took it twice.. ended up with a B the second time... first time I took it was with a Masters student teaching.. needless to say that sucked ass.

I have her too. She isnt the greatest of teachers. She thinks the last 5 mins of class is the time to start a new topic and rush through it. I also hate her handwriting. Do you have it MWF or TR?

Did you take it from Miller?? I had him last semester. EASY shit....got an A with minimal studying. I guess eveyone is different though.....

if I was to give a bundle (x1,x2) = (1,1) and an utility function of U(x1,x2)=2x1+x2
is my IC going to be a straight line or it can be just an abitiary curve that pass thru (1,1)???

if it is a straight line (negative sloped) line, won't that be considered as a perfect substitute???

I just found out that I did alot of it wrong but I think I got it now so I have to restart but it really isn't that hard now that I know what to do. 5 - 9 in the long answers should take you 2 minutes each not even, then you have time to complete the rest

Took ECON 301 in the summer of 2002. I don't remember much, other than the fact that she was a first time instructor too, and damn was she ever hot.
