Not sure if there's alot of boxing fans on beyond...but this matchup is simply EPIC!

Pacquiao FTW!

I hope Manny takes it. If he does, He'll only have big name fights from there on.... Ricky Hatton, Floyd Jr if he comes back...

Could also put an end to Oscars career.

Pacquiao will win, this fight will be about be speed not strength and manny has the advantage there. Oscar has to cut weight (as usual) for this fight, his fitness is questionable and pacquiao's fitness is incredible. No doubt manny will by decision, he'll take oscar to the late rounds and just wear him down round by round.

my two cents! Manny baby!

It's a toss up. I think it'll be a close one but I think Manny can take him.

I was hoping to go to this one, but there was no way i was spending over a G for a ticket.

For those of you in the West side of the city, I usually go to Seanachies in Westhills.
It's normally $10 to get in, but then they give you a $10 certificate towards your bill.
Just remember to use it at the end of the night lol

Pacquiao should have this.
Actually, he can't really lose. Even if DLH wins (presuming it's not via rd.3 brutal KO or anything), there will still be an astrix in most people's minds because of the weight issue. Even if Oscar wins, Pacman will still be considered by many to be the superior "boxer". All it will really mean is that his abilities weren't superior enough to overcome the weight and strength disadvantage.

But it's hard to not cheer for DLH...

I would say it would be an interesting fight.

Dela Hoya has two trainers teaching him which has its cons and pros and he's old already.

Pacman is on the top of his game and every fight he always add something new to his arsenal but for a boxer it’s hard to go on a higher weight class.

My cousin TUSOK went to Manny’s apartment in LA a few months ago….

It was full of people (support staff like 12 flips and friends). Manny was on the videoke and the room smelled like a typical Filipino place, sautéed garlic and onions and fried fish.

No way.

Paquaio is in his prime, he's got the speed and technique. Golden Boy is old and washed up, although he has the experience, he's not what he used to be and his strength and condition is questionable if Pacman's got the speed, skill and overall peak performance in his career.

You're simply looking at it by weight class. Even though he's a class up, that isn't a total disadvantage for Manny. I'm not saying this will be an easy win for Pacquaio, but he's going to give Oscar a run for his money.

Why? His only advantage is weight class and experience. Oscar's gotta cut down in weight and despite his experience, he's no longer in his prime only winning 3 of his last 6 fights (losing the rest to big names in boxing) to mediocre boxers. Pacquaio is at his prime peek, he's faster, has the quicker hands and footwork, and completely decimated all of his weight class.

Pacquiao is obviously the under dog in this fight due to huge a difference in weight class. Pacqiuao may have to put on more weight, but it's just as difficult cutting weight.

I feel that Pacqiuao has more of the advantage because he was trained well for this fight. His trainer Freddy Roach is among the top trainers today, training some of the biggest names in boxing. Not too mention he was Oscar De La Hoyas trainer for the the Floyd Mayweather fight. Freddy is well aware of Oscars strengths and weaknesses and has prepared Manny well based on that.

I think that will give Manny the upper hand in this fight along with a combination of speed, power and endurance.

Because of his youth, endurance, speed, Freddy Roach, and the fact that he is on top of his game. Oscar is going downhill, and his only chance of winning is to outpoint/jab and keep backpedaling, or a huge lucky hook.

None the less, it WILL be a good fight. Even if your Golden Boy wins, it won't be a blow out.

Keep in mind Freddy Roach is well aware of the size advantage, and oscars strengths and weaknesses from training him in the mayweather fight. He's using all of what he knows to their advantage. Their main goals this fight are to take Oscars reach advantage and size advantage away by staying close and working on the body in which was Oscars weakness throughout his whole career. Everybody knows Oscars secret weapon is his jab and left hook as he is a natural lefty. However Freddy and Manny have been working on numerous techniques to try and get past that. I think they have implemented a pretty good game plan for this fight.

I think Manny has a slight advantage in this fight for the obvious reasons which are his speed, power, stamina and strong mind. Manny has the ability to carry out a game plan throughout all 12 rounds. Also people are really underestimating Manny's power when really, his punches are just as powerful as Oscars. Manny fights all 3 minutes of all 12 rounds whereas oscar after 6 he's not the same fighter.

Oscar on the other hand, although he still has the power, some speed and the heart of a lion, is weak minded in which he admits himself. The Oscar TODAY has trouble sticking to a game plan. According to Freddy Roach the Mayweather fight was a very good example. Oscar's foot work has diminished considerabley which is a very important aspect in boxing. After 6 rounds his legs start to go and his foot work gets very heavy, not a good thing when it comes to scoring points. The judges look closely at those kinds of things. Like everybody says he is past his prime and the reality is, he's just not the same fighter we once knew 10-12 years ago. It's just bad timing for him.

Overall this should be an interesting and entertaining fight to watch. Both fighters are pumped ready to go and will definitely give the crowd a great show

GO PACMAN!!!
