If soliders got into hand to hand combat all the time, then this would be perfect... otherwise, not so much the perfect soldier.

Well think about it, they perfect the personal sized suit... the larger ones will replace tanks. I cant imagine replicating the technology and perfecting it on a larger scale would take THAT much longer when the final product is done.

Exactly what I was thinking. I can see these being used in supply applications (ie: missle loading a plane), but for actual combat I see limited application. Development in better weapons and armour would be more beneficial on the battlefield.

Still cool though...

Keeping in mind this is a prototype, obviously its going to be for industrial use for the military to start, when they make it more compact and fitting, i could see it being like the picture they had at the end, a halo like suit.
