Hey guys... Thanks to today's wonderful weather I bumped into a huge truck with a trailer hitch that cracked a hole in my bumper cover, I was wondering the estimated cost and where about may be a good place to replace my front bumper on my saturn ion 3 quad coupe

Thanks,

Brock

Obviusly... $1000 deductible anyways, this better not cost $1000 to fix....

I was hoping to see if anyone knew the estimated cost to replace the bumper and where abouts would be a good place to do that

It being a fairly new car, you may have to call saturn for a new bumper. you could try calling fairmont electroplating for a remanufactured bumper. Or see if an auto wreckers may have one. Im may cost close to 1000 dollars after its painted and put on the car.

:werd: if you can't find an already painted used bumper and have to buy new it will cost you $1k

the other option is to just leave it. It depends on you thou. Maybe someone will hit your front bumper, later on, then they will be the one to pay it.

I am just curious... seeing how everything is still sorta there, there be a way to patch it up/glue it back in place, not have it look 100% but have it look better then what it is? If so would this be cheaper?

i think buying a new bumper would be cheaper. you have to pay more for labour and materials to have it repaired. Instead of replace ment. depends on how much damage is on the bumper thou. ask around if its cheaper to have that repaired rather than replaaced. see what they say.

It can be repaired but as mentioned will cost as much or more in labour as replacing it.

I just did an estimate for you with reasonable bodyshop rates which I doubt they will give you. Came to $1007.00 for an OEM bumper installed with paint. If you go with a non OEM replacement cover (same as insurance would most likely put on) it looks to be about $871.00. I'd expect it could be about 10% with the rates the shop gives ya.
