steelie question

hey guys, just bought a set of tires and universal steelies. The problem is the it does not seem to go onto the hub. Would it be a problem with the center bore size? It seems to be 1mm small. The previous steelies fit perfect.

i had the same issue on a 93 vw golf. when i purchased it the PO threw in some steelies with winters, when it was time to mount i ran into the same problem. I ended up taking of a very small amount of material with a die grinder (wheel not hub) and they slid on. i don't think it is the safest or best method, but it worked and i had no issues.

it was very very close to fitting before i just had to clean up the hub a bit and take off a very minor amount of material from the center bore of the wheel, and these steelies had a thick enough center to work with.

Those universals don't sound very universal. Why not take it back to the place you bought it from?
