If you wish you were in something else and you still haven't graduated yet, then you're in A LOT of trouble... Most people regret their career paths about 7-10yrs into their professions. When I graduated in Elec, I was really pumped (probably because the high tech bubble was nuts!) even now after 4 yrs I'm still pretty pumped. But I give it a few more yrs down the road and I'll have to start thinking about switching to something like MBA. Yes, it is a deadend job, but I gotta admit it's been a pretty cool ride so far up to now! Plus, I make more money than *most* of my other friends who are not in Elec/Comp Eng. But that only lasts about 5 yrs, then they go up, WAAAY up while I sit at this salary level forever... :dunno:

Yup, that's the only way to go IF you want to go up that is... Either that or go on your own and start a consulting firm. Becareful though about MBA, it's pretty much useless unless you have a couple years (~5) of technical background for you to be "marketable" as a technical buisness manager. If you're not, then you're just another B.Comm grad and you've just wasted your 4 yrs of Eng... but when you combine yrs of technical skills with an MBA, whooo nellie... *ching*ching* Here comes the big bucks! $$$

Very true, MBA is next to useless without some experience before hand. Also very difficult to get in if you have no work experience. If you work first then you can apply for an executive MBA

executive MBA = I want that office, this much money, and that secretary.

Is it called EMBA for short??? I have weekend classes at the U in Scurfield Hall every Saturday and I always see that they have all sorts of refreshments, sandwiches, coffees, cookies etc outside of their classroom. There's a sign above the food that says "Only for EMBA students only."

I don't see any of the other grad faculties getting that :thumbsdow

Yeah..I didn't plan on doing a joint degree though.

I wanted to do a major in finance and transfered into the business school this past fall. I had already taked about 10 econ courses, and the business school doesn't allow minors in economics. So I decided to do two degrees instead and get two pieces of paper when I'm done.
