How long have you been doing it?

Where do you work? (if you wanna say)

How much experiance do you have?

How much do you make?

Im trying to find out what an average installer in this city makes, at the big shops and the small ones.

Only reply if you do this fulltime.

Damn, full time? Well, I can tell you how much it was part time... don't know if that'll help.

Been doing it 2 years at a shop.
3 years experience.
I was getting $20/hr plus discounted gear and shop time after hours for my own stuff.

I know the shop I was at hired kids out of high school for about $12/hour, but that was just monkey work, and it went up as soon as they learned to do starters. Experienced guys were coming on closer to $20 and up.

That would be Edmonton, but the markets are similar enought that you could probably use it to compare.

thats funny, how much experiance did your starter guys have?

1 or 2 seasons or more?

Im trying to compare what im making and find an industry average.

I doubt there are many people on beyond with 3+ seasons under there belts but maybe ill be surprised.

Well, we had two dealership contracts...Honda and Toyota, so 90% of our starters were for about 20 different vehicles. It didn't take long to train for that. Most of our guys were one or two seasons...I didn't do many starters, I was kind of the guy who'd come in and do audio stuff so that everybody else could do starters :)
