1300cc Hayabusa goes down to a Mustang

Last night, my buddy Derek raced his T76 turbo mustang against a Hayabusa..... and won. He pulled on the bike, and never looked back despite missing a shift, and backing off the throttle after losing traction in the top end....

Apparantly there is a video, they are working on getting it up....

Anyone got a ~13 pound or higher delta gate spring?

Went to race city today..... he drove there, ran a 9.7 @ 143mph after tech told him to keep it 12.0 or slower, then brakes failed, drove off the end of the track at over 140mph, through the field, around the go kart track, and into a farmers field about a mile down.... took the rescue vrew 10 minutes just to find him....

Ever seen race city staff REALLY PISSED hahahahaha? Then he drove it home.... drive down barlow..... look for multi 300 foot tire marks ;)

Its queiter then some of the Hondas on here, off roads with the best of them (how he did not flip it is beyond me), runs 9's on low boost and pump gas...... dunno.... I like it.

Wait till we turn up the boost, and I get some REAL time turning the TEC 3 ;) Then we got a T88 to put on there and make some REAL power ;)

Hey Toma, yeah I was there for the race. That was the quickest street car that I've ever seen!:eek: Next to yours of course.:D The guy that actually owned the bike handed it off to his buddy to run, so you know it was a good run for the bike. I also noticed he has nitrous but I don't think he used it.

Dereks g/f did say the vid/pics would be posted but I failed to find out where. My search was unsuccessful.

My bro was at Race City, and was wondering why he was taking so long coming back from the 9.7 run. Derek told my bro it was the craziest ride of his life! no doubt.

What your looking for is a black deltagate spring. And the range of that spring is 9 to 13psi (so that is as high as it'll go without a boost controller, etc.). Sorry but I don't have one (but they only run about 10-15 bucks from turbonetics).

its not street legal to run nitrous on the street either, but the bike has nitrous (didn't use it during the race, but he has used it on the street). and there are street legal drag tires.
