Not sure what I am doing wrong (or not doing)
-New vista machine
-Access 03 front end
-On domain with admin rights
-Trying to reach SQL05 DB
-Setup odbc System DSN same as all the other xp workstations
When i try and access the db thru our access front end i get a call fail
I am completely new to vista, am i missing some security or connection setting ?

check the control pannel on the xp machines and see if there is a program called 'BDE Administrator'
if there is, you will need to install that on the vista machine, but i have no idea if the program will work on vista, let alone 64 bit

did you run odbcad32 to setup your system dns? I have 64bit at home but never had to setup ODBC at home, so i wonder if it needs to be a 32bit odbc since ur using 32bit office or perhaps it needs to be a 64bit odbc (thats assuming there is a version for both)

Don't have anything called BDE afaik
I setup all the other machines in the orfice and didn't do anything special, system dsn, setup all the sql server info there and it normally works.
I can actually test the connection and it works, but i still get a call fail when i try and actually use the access program.
