yeah i needs a turbo kit for my 02 civic si, its too damn slow i'm looking to spend in the area of $1200

btw before the flaming starts i do realize how expensive turbo kits are

http://www.ebay.ca/ is where you will find a turbo kit for 1200 or less..

yeah but after customs and shipping its more like $1800, which i would be willing to spend but not a $1200 kit

There's only 2 actual turbo kits made for the D17. The TSI and the DEZOD kit. One of those, the DEZOD kit, is really the only fully complete turbo kit on the market, since the TSI does have a few problems.

Now if you'd be looking at purchasing and getting either of them over here, you'd be looking to spend at least 3-4 times the price you want to pay. For $1200 you'd be lucky to even find a used turbo kit in general. For the D17, i wouldn't count on it at all. There isn't much support for that engine and there probably won't ever be. So if your hell bent on a faster ride, I'd suggest finding another car, since the turbo route in this case, IMO, just really isn't worth all the extra money compared to the actual value of the car.

damn well thx for the info, i guess i'll just drive it till it dies and then swap the motor.... in 10 - infinate years...

lol, i was also thinking of doing a swap, since you can get a K24 or even a K20 for a decent price and there's enough parts cars to rip everything else out of. Saying you do it yourself, it can run you a few grand, but you'd have the power and a more reliable setup in the long run.
