Spotted: Mark V R32 from the UK!

Was in Calgary this weekend and saw this thing rolling around... pretty effing sweet.. guy brought it in when he moved from the UK..

Probably the only one in Calgary right now I would think. I haven't heard of any being brought up from the states.

The HIDS blind the shit outta you though if he is coming towards you tho.

I saw a blue R32 over the weekend too, Northbound on Beddington trail. I just recall seeing the HID in the rearview and the centered tailpipes as it passed. Don't recall a UK plate.

There are WAY more than that. I have seen at least 5-6.

For a while there with the strong dollar it was cheaper to import an R32 than to buy a new GTI.

Yes R32's are legal... MKIV ftw, much better than MKV. I'm pretty sure HPA has a twin turbo kit that brings it to 600AWHP and does 0-100km/h in under 3.6... :poosie:

The blue one in question still has United Kingdom License plates!

The guy is a dumbass for importing it.

He could have sold it used in the UK and bought a LHD R32 in the US along with a Rabbit or City Jetta for the money he made.

Now he has an overpriced R32 in Calgary with a steering wheel on the wrong side.
