He hit a tree....but someone also said he had bought a totalled car and stitched a new rear clip on so I guess that would make it come apart even easier.

Zing...

I was wondering what caused the rear end to come apart. Guess the body cant take the stress when 500hp is pushing the car.

if it was repaired correctly, it would be as strong as stock... also, very few cars will stay together if you tail it into a tree or pole at 100 mph

The passenger made it out OK....went home that night. The driver had multiple injuries but lived. Broken leg, punctured lung, internal bleeding, ec.

Lucky to be alive, no doubt. But you know what? The car portion is somewhat together. It did it's job, even if half of it is missing....

Saw this on the diesel board yesterday

"He dynoed and made 4??. He got cocky I guess took someone for a ride and was doing burnouts on a small side road. He was hittin the rev limiter the whole way down the road just pushin it for all it had. he had a 3 stage NOS too. Anyway, he lost control and hit one tree. And hit that other small one where the other part of the car was. It ripped the car in half and sent both of them sailing into the creek below. Big boom. Everyone ran to see what happened. By the time I got there, a few people were already trying to keep his head above the water. He kept on saying that he didnt know what happened and he coulndt figure out why he was in the creek. I think before the EMTs left they said something about his leg was all F'ed up and they had him completely immobilized on the stretcher. Gettin him out of that creek was hell. Took like 12 guys. He was a big boy.. this guy was NOT wearing his seat belt and was threw out, Last I heard on the the driver (Jason) broke ribs, broke leg, collapsed lung, really bad puncture to his face and blood in his urine. Still alive though. Haven't heard anything on the passenger. They are still at Vanderbilt I believe, guys, from watching this wreck with my own eyes, i will wear my seat belt from now on, and not over drive somthing that i cant handle"

dunno if the pics will work>

Driving policies should be strengthened and people should be given more caution about road accidents.

But then again, there are a lot of bull-headed kids out there who treat their lives like they have another one in the bank.
