I PM'd Ryan about his Zegna, but I want to get a made to measure suit. I was at Harry Rosen yesterday and to be honest I wasn't impressed with the off the rack Hugo. I figure after buying it plus tailoring it to fit properly, I might as well just get one made.

I work downtown near 4th and 4th (across from J Vair) so somewhere in this area would be appreciated.

probably could get a good deal if you dont mind a little water damage.

I'm looking for a new suit too and was wondering how much would a suit like this cost? (The made to measure one)

Both Harry Rosen and Henry Singer will do made-to-measure suits. Or if you prefer to go the bespoke route try these guys: http://www.lsnk.com/

If you aren't in a rush to get one you could look at some of the tailors that visit throughout the year. Most of them do made-to-measure or if you wanted you could even go for a bespoke suit.

you don't need a made to measure suit, just find one that fits well, get it fitted (tailored). Bought a dolce and canali suit from Holt last week. They have a large number of suits on sale.

I had a couple suits made at Umberto's before I left town. Dealt primarily with the son, I believe, and they did a great job.

go dumpster diving and make a profit.
my friend's buddy did that last year at chinook, got about $3000 worth of clothes for free, cleaned them, made a few grand.

OP, what did you have to get tailored?
for typical tailoring (hems, waist, jacket) i would just get the retailer to pin everything then take it to another reputable tailor. you will save a lot of money.

Agreed, I only get my suits made here now. Claudio is the son. They do great work and are cheaper than Holt or Singer. If you want an MTM Zegna they can do it also.
