If only he could get the tesla coil to be a little bit more subtle and not gigantic. :dunno:

He's talking about the pole rotating and the photo taking over a longer period of time, giving the illusion that the car is surrounded by electricity at a single point in time, which is false.

Best part of the story: that's a rental car.

Fail. The photos you see of a "force field" are long exposures done by rotating the bent rod around the car. There is no force field, it's all photography. See the end of the article.

" The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination." - Albert Einstein

One day guys! I wouldn't be surprised if his imaginative examples one day (as in 20 years plus) become the next safety feature on your entry level corolla/civic/focus.

All the best to him! Fantastic photos non-the-less.

It LOOKS very cool. That is for sure!

Lets say there was no bent rod, no camera tricks, and two cars bumped into eachother.. would they bounce? haha

I don't think they would make it to the car with out being decapitated first and electrocuted.

that's pretty sweet, but i wonder what would happen if some kid or dog got zapped (not sure exactly how that thing works)
